Being a devoted Mum first and foremost, Charlie wanted to create a workout space for Mums, and women in general, to feel happy and comfortable in; as a result, Purple Fitness & Cambridge Bootcamps were born.
Charlie has many other strings to her bow. As well as working hard to be a positive role model to her 16-year-old son, she’s currently studying to be a Nutritional Therapist at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. With a strong interest in female hormonal health, Charlie has done a lot of research in this area of study.
Previous to this, Charlie worked in Psychiatry for 8 years, specialising in addictions for the last 5 years. With a Registered Mental Nurse Diploma from the University of Nottingham, the mind and body’s wellbeing has been a long-standing passion of hers.
As well as offering you the chance to embark upon a unique fitness journey, Charlie is also a qualified Nutritional Health Coach having been trained at the Institute For Integrative Nutrition. qHer training covered more than one hundred dietary theories and a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Charlie’s nutritional knowledge means she can work with you to create a personalised ‘roadmap to health’ that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences and goals. The vast variety of our workouts use a combination of principles that have been learnt from some of the world’s leading authorities and coaches in the fitness industry. Cambridge Bootcamps uses Tabatta training (EPOC) that burns fat for up to 48 hours after your workout, and also takes some inspiration from the proven realms of CrossFit and Kettlebells.
Offering the perfect mix of interval training and conditioning, Cambridge Bootcamps offers constant motivation and support from your trainers and the like-minded women around you – but there is no pressure to compete or participate. Each and every exercise within your session will have different levels and options dependent on your strengths, and you can choose the option YOU feel most comfortable with.
Our price includes your weekly sessions as above, with a full nutritional plan and fully supportive, interactive social support websites and forums. Please see our individual camp pages for the cost of our two- or three-times-a-week blocks – you’ll notice that these are considerably less than you would pay for a personal trainer for the individual attention you would receive. Plus, working alongside other women with the same aspirations will provide you with the company and support you need to achieve your goals.

As a community we always listen to our ladies, so in the future we hope to be able to offer new locations and times to accommodate everyone. We also understand that many of our ladies are returning to fitness after having children; so if childcare is an issue, your little ones are always welcome to come and join in!
